Morna Bassoon Association Concert

15 September 3.30pm

The Morna Bassoon Association (MBA), present a programme of original music and humorous arrangements for bassoon quartet ranging from Bach to the Beatles.

The bassoon quartet held its inaugural rehearsal in Morna Road, Camberwell, South London in 1986. Since that auspicious time the MBA has performed a varied cross-section of its repertoire across Southern England in venues as diverse as the Stogumber Arts Festival, St Briavels Castle, Maidstone Croquet Club and Muswell Hill Library.

If you came to either the Banbury Chamber Orchestra or the baroque chamber orchestra concerts earlier this year at St Peter's, you will already have enjoyed hearing Ian McCubbin play his bassoon. One quarter of the MBA and local musician, why not come back and hear some more woodwind delights? If you weren't at those concerts, now is the time to discover just how versatile the bassoon can be.

A concert that is guaranteed to entertain you in all its originality and quirkiness, tickets are available from Emma Callery (01608 737249), Jane Orchard (01608 737634) or at the door.

Adults: £8, children FREE.

Refreshments will be available in the interval. All profits are in aid of St Peter's Restoration appeal.
